Healthy banana muffins

These healthy muffins are the perfect treat to fulfill your sweet cravings . They are fast and easy to make and are also a  great addition to your kids lunchboxes.  This healthier version of muffins can  make an excellent  breakfast treat or a snack on the go .

Healthy banana muffins

Ingredients:

Makes 12 muffins:

*3 overripe bananas

*1/2 cup of honey

*1/3 cup of coconut oil

*2 eggs

*1/4 cup of low fat Greek yogurt

*1 tsp of baking soda

*1/2 tsp of salt

*1 + 3/4 cup of wholemeal flour

*1/2 cup of porridge oats plus more for garnish

Recipe:

1.Preheat the oven to 165 degrees Celsius.

2.In a mixing bowl  using a hand mixer combine the bananas , eggs and melted coconut oil.

3.Add the Greek yogurt  and the remaining dry ingredients, mix until combined .

4.Pour the batter in a muffin tray lined with 12 muffins cases .

5.Sprinkle some oats and white sugar  on the batter before baking .

6.Bake 30 minutes at 165 degrees Celsius.
